Teja Dyamenahalli
Teja Dyamenahalli, MD, MPH is board-certified in Pediatrics and has completed a fellowship in Integrative Medicine. Her master’s in public health was in Health Services with concentrations in community health programming and global health. She has found ways throughout her training and clinical practice to apply her public health knowledge to various projects.
She has practiced in Minnesota since completing her training in the hospital setting to provide inpatient care to children and in-clinic, seeing patients for integrative health consultations. She is truly able to appreciate the fact that conventional/allopathic medicine treatments and the more holistic and natural approaches in integrative health are both indispensable as well as complementary. Dr. Dyamenahalli teaches both clinically and via lectures to medical students and residents.
Dr. Dyamenahalli has a passion for nutrition and food and its role in health. She is embarking on the path toward becoming certified in Culinary Medicine and is working on bringing nutrition and culinary skills classes to her organization and community in a teaching kitchen setting.
Additionally, another area of interest and expertise is the relationship between media and child health. She is a strong advocate for systemic changes in traditional and social media to help better protect children from the harmful effects on both mental and physical health.
Dr. Dyamenahalli attended the University of Washington in Seattle for Medical School and her MPH. She completed her pediatric residency training at the University of Rochester in Rochester, NY, and her Integrative Medicine fellowship at the University of Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine.
