Becoming a mother has humbled me. I never knew how much I didn’t know until I became a mom. Also, I admire just how tremendously brave my own mother has been in the face of raising me as a single parent with no manual or style guide for assistance.
Sholeen started her career in magazine journalism as an intern writer at Shape Magazine, SA. She then moved on to become editor of two custom publishing titles. After a short stint as a copywriter at an advertising agency, she decided to pack up her life and go teach English in South Korea. Thereafter, she transitioned into the book publishing industry where she worked as a managing editor shepherding several academic titles. Upon her return to writing, she has focused on health and lifestyle with a keen interest in mental health and alternative and complimentary medicine.
Sholeen holds a bachelor’s degree in English and Cultural Studies and is currently pursuing a qualification in ear acupuncture (Acudetox).
