As a storyteller, I have always been compelled by the human condition. We all have fears, insecurities, anxieties, and disorders that we recognize, discover, and battle on a daily basis and my goal is to break the stigmas, discuss the intricacies, and help you understand that you are not alone in this world and you are not without support.
Sarah Sheppard is a writer, editor, and ghostwriter, as well as an account manager at a feminist communications agency. She previously worked for the country’s largest independent book publisher. Sarah has taught writing in the Midwest, on the East Coast, in Canada, and online. She has written for a variety of clients, including an award-winning national bank, an East Coast law firm, a mental health practice, an international education company, and more. She has published articles in Rewire.org, The Temper, Thrive Global, InHerSight, South Bend Tribune, Child’s World NEWS, and has ghostwritten pieces in Psychology Today, Medium, and more.
Sarah is passionate about mental health issues, as well human trafficking prevention, women’s health, workplace issues, and relationships. She is a member of a volunteer organization that economically empowers women and girls across the globe. Sarah contributes to the anti-human trafficking committee and volunteers at a quarterly after-school program for middle school girls. She is working on a novel that deals with domestic violence and estrangement.
Sarah received an MFA in Creative Writing with a concentration in fiction from Lesley University (MA) and a BA in English Writing & Literature from Saint Mary’s College (IN) where she was the editor-in-chief of the school’s literary magazine. She has attended numerous writing conferences and workshops, and has received residencies at the Gullkistan Center for Creativity in Iceland and Good Hart Artist Residency in Northern Michigan.
