Matthew Broberg-Moffitt is an author and sensitivity reader. Their forthcoming debut cookbook "COLOR TASTE TEXTURE" with Avery Books/Penguin Random House has a Spring 2023 expected release date. They have bylines with Thinknum Media and SFWA.org. The majority of their projects are inspired by their experiences with homelessness, chronic rare illness, being Autistic, and non-binary. Their fiction is represented by Hannah VanVels Asbury with Belcastro Agency. Their non-fiction is represented by Heather Cashman with Storm Literary Agency.
Matthew is a classically trained chef and baker. They have been a chemical dependency counselor, IT consultant, computer repair tech, and even a Buddhist Monk. They are a collector of hobbies, as a cheesemaker, homebrewer, musician (drums, bass, and guitar), table-top role-playing gamer, and traditional archer. They are a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators.
Matthew has a son in college, and frequently hears, “How do you have a child that’s college-age?” They currently live in Oklahoma City, OK with their Belgian Tervuren puppy Trinket.
Matthew has a B.S. in Behavioral Science from Bellevue University.
