Laura Wheatman Hill received her Bachelors of Arts in theatre and English from Willamette University. She went on to receive her Masters of Arts in teaching and began her career in education. She has since taught English and theatre to all ages and continues to enjoy working with students of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds. As a writer, Laura used her personal experience as both a teacher and a parent to jump start her freelance career and got some of her first bylines with Parents and Real Simple. From there, she branched out and now writes on a wide range of topics including health and healthcare, mental health, education, business and finance, culture, lifestyle, and others. Laura also enjoys writing fiction and personal essays and continues to use her training in theatre to write and produce plays in her free time.
