Experience

Bridgette Bartlett Royall is an award-winning content creator with two decades of media experience. A Queens, NY native, she’s held editorial positions at ESSENCE and PEOPLE magazines where she interviewed household names from Alicia Keys to LeBron James. The Fashion Institute of Technology graduate is the former Research Chief at Essence.com. While there, she launched the popular weekly bridal feature highlighting the nuptials of real people and celebrities. It remains one of the site’s most viewed franchises. In addition, Royall has written for AARP, BlackEnterprise.com, Delta Sky, Real Simple, and The New York Times. Royall also contributed to the books "He Never Came Home" (Agate) and Black Women Redefined" (Benbella) as an essayist.

In 2010, Royall launched BlackBridalBliss.com (Triple B), a comprehensive resource for Black brides across the globe. Since the debut of Triple B, she has provided her bridal expertise to a host of outlets such as The Chicago Tribune, Teen Vogue, The Tom Joyner Morning Show, and Refinery29 and was even tapped by Princeton University to share her insight on Black women and marriage. In 2013, Royall appeared in her own episode of TLC's bridal-themed reality show “Something Borrowed, Something New.”

As a speaker, Royall has lent her unique point of view on topics ranging from creating a digital media platform for women of color to the untapped benefits of targeting niche markets at the Laboratory Institute of Merchandising, Hampton University, and the Houston Tourism Board. And as a bridal influencer, she has collaborated with major brands including Coca-Cola and Dove on creative partnerships.

Of all the positions Royall has held, the title of mother is by far her most challenging yet most rewarding. When she’s not chasing after her precocious toddler son, she delights in watching "House Hunters" and "Law & Order: SVU" marathons. Always a curious reporter at heart, Royall also enjoys traveling and counts hip-hop debates with locals in Conakry, Guinea to being underwhelmed by the Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy to discovering the majestic Ozark Mountains in Missouri among her most treasured travel experiences.
