Keep reading for our full product review. Travel strollers are high on the seemingly endless list of baby gear and products every family needs. With an upcoming plane flight, road trip, or another excursion on the calendar, a foldable, lightweight stroller is a must. With that said, a travel stroller will come in handy for more than just vacations. Busy parents are sure to discover a need for one at some point or another. The Besrey Airplane Capsule Lightweight Baby Stroller promises high-quality convenience for on-the-go families. But how does it actually perform in terms of portability, safety, and overall design? To find out, I put one to the test. Read on for the detailed breakdown. Verywell Family / Theresa Holland Setup Process: Slightly confusing instructions The wording and illustrations in the user manual were a bit confusing. After fiddling with this stroller for a few minutes, I figured out how to open it all the way: When the button on the handlebar is pushed, the stroller hinges inward, which allows for folding and unfolding. Once I worked this out, though, I thought that the Airline Capsule Baby Stroller was easy to set up. The wording and illustrations in the user manual were slightly confusing. Although the manufacturer says it can be opened and closed with one hand, I didn’t find this to be the case. I needed to use both hands and a bit of strength to open and fold it. Verywell Family / Theresa Holland Design: Smart and efficient The Besrey Airplane Capsule Lightweight Baby Stroller has a smart and convenient design with a durable aluminum frame. Out of the box, it’s compactly folded up into its carrying satchel. Once I opened it up, I was impressed by the size of this stroller. It’s as big as a standard stroller and has comparable features, including a retractable cloth canopy cover, a removable handrail, and mesh-lined storage under the seat that’s large enough for a purse, diaper bag, or grocery bag. The Besrey travel stroller also has a backrest that adjusts to different inclines for sitting upright and sleeping. Pushing and steering the stroller with one or two hands is pretty effortless, even around tight corners. The satchel has a handle and shoulder straps, sort of like a backpack or small duffel bag. In addition to the carrying bag, the stroller comes with a clear plastic rain cover. The rain cover is easy to get onto the stroller––it just slides into place––with air holes on both sides and a velcro flap on the back. Pushing and steering the stroller with one or two hands is pretty effortless, even around tight corners. The only thing I would add to the design is a cup holder, which would make the stroller more convenient in many scenarios. In fact, I might even use it on a day-to-day basis instead of my standard stroller. Age Range: From baby through toddler The Airplane Capsule Baby Stroller from Besrey is designed to accommodate kids from 6 months to 3 years of age. According to the manufacturer, it can hold children between 5 and 33 pounds. But unlike some strollers, it doesn’t appear to be compatible with a car seat for newborns and smaller infants. Verywell Family / Theresa Holland Safety: Satisfyingly secure This travel stroller has a five-point seatbelt with straps that go over the shoulders, around the waist, and through the legs. The straps have protective pads, which provide a secure fit. Adjusting the straps and pads was easy to do each time I took my child in and out of the stroller. The Airplane Capsule Stroller has double brakes, which are activated with a foot pedal on the right side. My 12-month-old seemed safe and comfortable while sitting in the stroller. Verywell Family / Theresa Holland Portability: An on-the-go essential When folded, the Besrey Airplane Capsule Lightweight Baby Stroller is notably compact, which makes it ideal for travel. I was able to fit it back into the carrying satchel easily, which adds to its convenience and portability. In the folded position, it measures 22 x 12 x 11 inches, which is plenty small enough for an airplane overhead bin. Also, putting it in the back of my car was no problem––especially compared to lifting my bulky standard stroller into the trunk. When folded, this stroller is notably compact, which makes it ideal for travel. Additionally, this stroller is much lighter than my primary stroller. However, at 15 pounds, it’s still heavier than most travel and umbrella strollers. The stroller can also be positioned upright in its satchel. The manufacturer says it can be used as a seat in this upright position when you’re in a pinch. In theory, this could come in handy at a crowded airport, but I don’t think it would be comfortable or convenient with a child in my arms. Verywell Family / Theresa Holland Price: Relatively pricey Priced between $160 and $200, the Airplane Capsule buggy is somewhat expensive compared to other travel strollers. However, it’s not a bad deal considering that it opens up to the size of a standard stroller. Competition: A saturated stroller market Jovial Portable Folding Lightweight Baby Stroller: The Portable Folding Lightweight Baby Stroller from Jovial (View on Amazon) has similar features to the Besrey travel stroller, but it retails for less (about $120). It boasts a five-point safety harness, a canopy sunshade, one-hand folding, and a storage bag. Kolcraft Cloud Plus Lightweight Easy Fold Compact Travel Stroller: For about $70, parents can get the Cloud Plus Compact Travel Stroller from Kolcraft (View on Amazon). It comes in red or gray, weighs just under 12 pounds—slightly less than the Besrey—and has a sizable storage basket underneath the seat. Summer Infant 3Dlite Convenience Stroller: Similar to the Kolcraft travel stroller, the 3Dlite Convenience Stroller is priced at roughly $70 (View on Amazon). It comes in six different colors and weighs 13 pounds. This stroller has a small storage basket, which can hold no more than 10 pounds, a removable canopy, and a cup holder.
